In the village of Janovičky, next to Šonov, there is a small ski slope with drag lifts. Teplice nad Metuji, Police nad Metuji and Machov also have slopes with lifts. Some are floodlit for longer skiing fun. When you return, the wood-burning stove will be nice and warm.
Winter sports can also be enjoyed across the border in Poland. All of this is within driving distance of the campsite.
For larger areas, the Giant Mountains are a very beautiful region. Slopes 2,400 metres long are ideal for more advanced winter sports enthusiasts.
